Paris counted its money, London queued for couture at high-street prices, and Maranello put a $560,800 sticker on a four-door. Here is everything that happened in fashion and luxury from Wednesday night to Thursday night, Oct 22, 2026. Every item is checked against its source and linked.

The Money Talk: Hermès, Kering and Louis Vuitton

Hermès keeps selling bags

Hermès posted €4.1 billion in third-quarter sales, up 4% at constant exchange rates, with the Americas up 13% for the first nine months. Leather goods led the house, up 10.8% in the quarter. Executive Chairman Axel Dumas: “Despite a complex environment, Hermès continues its profitable growth and maintains its course.” He also confirmed Grace Wales Bonner’s first men’s ready-to-wear and Couture by Nadège Vanhée are coming in January. Kering: Gucci is still the whole story

Kering’s third-quarter revenue was €3,345 million, flat as reported. Gucci was down 6% on a comparable basis to €1,291 million, while Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Brioni kept growing. CEO Luca de Meo: “The recovery of Gucci remains our defining priority.” The group has now closed 105 net stores this year and plans at least 125. Source: Kering

Louis Vuitton takes Artycapucines to Art Basel Paris

Louis Vuitton is showing seven years of Artycapucines, with 14 artists and their versions of the Capucines bag, on the Grand Palais’s Balcon d’Honneur from Oct 23 to 25. LA’s Alex Israel is there with Cut-Out-Fin (Golden Hour) next to his fin bag, and a new Keith Haring collection debuts beside a 1930s LV suitcase Haring signed in the 1980s. Source: A&E Magazine

“In My Bag”: what’s inside the Speedy P9

Pharrell Williams’s Speedy P9 campaign shows what six famous carriers keep inside. Jeremy Allen White has a newspaper and dice, LeBron James has golf tees, Future has a tennis racquet and gold chains, and Victor Wembanyama has a mini basketball. It’s a bag campaign about the bag’s contents, not its monogram. Source: Grazia India

Why it matters for LA: The rich are still buying, and the Americas are carrying Hermès. Hermès showed the second chapter of its fall-winter 2026 women’s collection in Los Angeles in June, and Kering credits North America for Saint Laurent’s momentum. Rodeo Drive is not a side market.

Drops & Collabs

Elie Saab x H&M: Regent Street queued at 9 AM

The Elie Saab x H&M collection launched Thursday, with a line outside the London Regent Street store before opening. Prices run from a £189.99 “fluffy jacket” to an embellished bandeau dress from £379.99. Saab: “For me, elegance is personal.” Source: Retail Gazette

Puma x Jil Sander finally make clothes

After decades of sneakers, Puma and Jil Sander are doing apparel for the first time: a boxy T7 track jacket and pants in an exclusive bi-stretch wool, plus Speedcat and Suede shoes. Meadow Walker fronts the campaign. It drops globally Oct 23 at 1 PM CEST, which is 4 AM PT Friday, on jilsander.com and puma.com. Source: PUMA

Billie Eilish and Finneas design for John Hardy

LA’s favorite siblings co-designed their first jewelry line: Wildflower (soft) and Screwball (hard), made from reclaimed metals, priced $195 to $2,400. Eilish: “In my current day-to-day, I wear daintier jewelry. On tour, I love a chunkier, thicker piece.” Source: JCK

Kylie Jenner rides for Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney took Kylie Jenner to the California coast for “Wild Horses,” a campaign directed by Gia Coppola that stars the Appaloosa bag. It comes a few years after Kendall Jenner did her own horse campaign for the label. Source: NYLON

MCM x adidas x FC Bayern

MCM’s Cognac Visetos monogram meets the FC Bayern crest and the three stripes on an Ottomar Weekender, a Stark Backpack and a tracksuit line. It launched globally Oct 22, with a campaign shot in Tokyo during the FC Bayern Women’s tour. Source: FashionNetwork

Why it matters for LA: Designer-meets-mass is where the lines and the content are. Puma x Jil Sander lands at 4 AM PT, so LA’s resale crowd is already awake for it. The Eilish line gives local stores a homegrown story to tell.

Fashion x Superintelligence

Alta raises $20 million for the “Clueless” closet

Jenny Wang’s styling app Alta raised a $20 million Series A from Forerunner, which pre-empted the round, with LVMH’s Arnault-family firm Aglaé Ventures returning as an investor. Forerunner’s Eurie Kim: “The fashion industry has been chasing the Clueless closet for 30 years.” Alta is also selling its models to brands and retailers. Source: Fortune

CATCHES brings virtual try-on to THE OUTNET, and AMIRI has the numbers

CATCHES launched PredictiveFit, a physics-based virtual try-on that shows how a garment fits and moves on a shopper’s digital twin. THE OUTNET is the first retailer to go live with it. The company says its earlier RealFit rollout with LA’s own AMIRI raised conversion 55% after adjusting for seasonality. The figures come from the company’s own press release. Source: Business Wire

Louis Vuitton built an app for one-of-one orders

“Les Extraordinaires” took 18 months to build. It runs LV’s most exceptional special orders, from trunks to jewelry to watches, with a 360° configurator and real-time tracking. “A Client Advisor can tell a client exactly where their piece is, in real time,” says program leader Iassen. Source: Inside LVMH

Why it matters for LA: An LA label just supplied the proof point for fit tech, so expect every Melrose and Arts District brand to get the pitch next. The question for local designers is whether they hold their own pattern data.

Status Cars ($300K+)

Ferrari Luce: $560,800 to start

Ferrari’s first electric car, the four-door Luce, officially starts at $560,800. InsideEVs says Ferrari confirmed the price. You get four motors, 1,035 horsepower and a 122 kWh battery good for about 280 miles. InsideEVs calls it “the most divisive Ferrari ever.” Source: InsideEVs

Why it matters for LA: The Beverly Hills valet line will settle whether “divisive” sells. At this price, a Luce outside a Sunset Strip opening is a story in itself.

Runway Magazine Watch

Runway Magazine still has Dior’s LA Cruise on blast

Runway Magazine’s review of Jonathan Anderson’s Dior Cruise 2027 at LACMA gives it a 1.8 out of 10 “verdict score.” The review was first published May 14 and updated Oct 20, and it is still live tonight. It describes the frayed Bar jacket and chain-stitched ripped jeans as “a move of peak sarcasm.” Source: Runway Magazine

Why it matters for LA: LACMA hosted the show, so LA owns this argument.
