4.6 Million on TikTok, and She’s Just Getting Started: Sofie SanFilippo Is Building Her Next Thing

    EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

The TikTok creator rode with us through Beverly Hills, shot with us on Rodeo Drive, and told us how she went viral, why music is next, and where she wants to go after December.

Interview by Nightlife Report. Recorded on camera in Beverly Hills.

Nightlife Report: Sofie SanFilippo, The Interview (0:53). 🎥 Nightlife Report

Most people with a TikTok following in the millions would explain it with a secret, an algorithm trick or a lucky break. Sofie SanFilippo gave us a single sentence:

“It was really just being consistent.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    That’s it. No hacks.

We caught up with SanFilippo (@sofiesanfilippo, 4.6M followers on TikTok) rolling through Beverly Hills at night with the camera running, plus a night shoot on Rodeo Drive. She talked about growing an audience, making music, and why the work itself might beat the finish line.

    The Takeoff

She remembers the early days of the account the way most people remember a first apartment.

“Especially when I started TikTok, like, I remember, like, it was so exciting to just watch it grow every day and, like, build that community and, like, see it, like, actually happen.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    The Music

Then came the music. And she isn’t new to it.

“I’ve done music for a while.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

So why put it out now?

“So why not share it? Because music connects people.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

She sees the music as the next build, using everything she learned on social:

“So now I’m taking my skill set of all that and kind of using it towards music, because that’s the next thing that I’m really looking to build.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    The Art Part

She also takes a lot of pictures and edits her own work. And she has a theory about why any of it matters:

“…art really brings people together and makes people feel less alone and understood.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    The Process

Ask a creator about goals and you usually get a number. SanFilippo’s answer was about the middle of the journey:

“But, like, doing it and being in the process in the middle of it happening is literally probably better than the outcome.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    What’s Next

Travel. She told us that after December she expects to be moving between a few different countries and cities, with Egypt, Tokyo and Europe on her list. Her reason:

“But I just feel like there’s a lot of the world that no one has seen.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

She didn’t give us song titles or release dates, and we’re not going to make any up.

  • From Netflix’s The Circle to the Closing Walk: Kevin Fernandez Isn’t Done Yet

From Netflix’s The Circle to the Closing Walk: Kevin Fernandez Isn’t Done Yet

    Exclusive Interview

The reality TV personality and runway model closed The Bureau Fashion Week in Los Angeles, got the whole room making noise, and has a new Tubi show out. Up next? Reality and scripted projects. Stay tuned.

Interview by Nightlife Report. Answers submitted in writing and lightly formatted.

The energy was already great. Then Kevin Fernandez decided great wasn’t good enough. Booked into the closing show at The Bureau Fashion Week in Los Angeles, the reality TV personality and runway model had exactly one goal for the final walk of the night: end it with a bang.

So he did what any self-respecting closer does. He motioned to the crowd to make noise. He interacted with individuals. And by his own account, it created “the ultimate closing experience.” Bold? Sure. Effective? Ask the front row.

You might already know the face from Netflix’s The Circle. Since then: Miami Swim Week, more TV, a new show on Tubi, and a Division I athletic background that, he says, taught him what walking a runway really takes. We asked him the questions. He answered in writing. Here’s Kevin, in his own words.

    First, the Introduction

    Nightlife Report

Who are you, in two sentences you'd want quoted?

    Kevin Fernandez

I’m Kevin Fernandez, a reality TV personality and runway model proving that you don’t have to limit yourself to just one dream. I’m passionate about stepping outside my comfort zone, chasing new opportunities, and making the most of all of life’s experiences.

“you don’t have to limit yourself to just one dream”

    — Kevin Fernandez

    The Path

Reality TV first, runway second, then more TV — and somewhere in there, the coincidences stopped looking like coincidences. (Yes, we left his spelling of the show exactly as he typed it. It’s The Circle, and he was on it.)

    Nightlife Report

What moment made you decide this was your path?

    Kevin Fernandez

I think the moment I realized this was my path was when I stopped seeing these opportunities as random coincidences and started seeing them as pieces of a bigger picture. As one reality tv opportunity with “The Cirlce” on Netflix slowly lead to runway modeling at Miami Swim Week, then leading to more tv opportunities, and so on, I realized that this is what I’m truly passionate about and made to do, and decided to give it my full effort. Reality TV introduced me to entertainment, modeling gave me another creative outlet, and now I’m excited to see where this journey takes me!

    The Bureau Moment

The closing slot comes with pressure. Kevin treated it like an invitation. And off the runway, his moment wasn’t a look or a turn. It was family.

    Nightlife Report

What was your Bureau Fashion Week moment, on or off the runway?

    Kevin Fernandez

My moment on the runway was the moment I got the crowd involved. The energy was already great, but being part of the closing show I wanted to end it with a bang. I motioned to the crowd to make noise, interacted with individuals and it created the ultimate closing experience. Off the runway it was sharing this moment with my wonderful parents, I couldn’t do this without them.

“being part of the closing show I wanted to end it with a bang.”

    — Kevin Fernandez

And the part that mattered most to him:

“Off the runway it was sharing this moment with my wonderful parents, I couldn’t do this without them.”

    — Kevin Fernandez

    What People Get Wrong

Think modeling is just walking in a straight line and looking expensive? Kevin would like a word.

    Nightlife Report

What do people get wrong about you or your industry?

    Kevin Fernandez

I think people underestimate how much work goes into modeling. Coming from a Division I athletic background, I’ve learned that walking a runway takes discipline, confidence, preparation, and the ability to perform under pressure. A lot of people don’t know that some of us also have full time jobs outside of this, so it truly does require dedication and certain love for the game which I truly commend.

“walking a runway takes discipline, confidence, preparation, and the ability to perform under pressure.”

    — Kevin Fernandez

    What’s Next

A new TV show on Tubi is already out. Projects in the reality and scripted space are in the works. He didn’t give us titles, and we’re not going to make any up. What he did give us: two exclamation points.

    Nightlife Report

What are you building next, and what should readers follow or buy?

    Kevin Fernandez

I’ve had a new tv show recently come out on Tubi and right now working on some projects in the reality tv space and in the scripted space so stay tuned!!
