Editorial picks. The Venus Games is Nightlife Report’s own editorial format, scored under our Runway Points rules. These are our picks, not official Bureau awards. The Bureau announced no winners.

Today, Tue Oct 20, 2026, is the vote. It’s the rematch for first place: Order of Minerva vs Order of Venus. Venus is the champion of Ava Kortman (round-one gold). Remember the Judgment of Paris

In the Greek myth, a golden apple was set before three goddesses, Hera, Athena and Aphrodite, and the Trojan prince Paris had to choose between them. He chose Aphrodite. In the myth, that choice led to the Trojan War. (The story is told most fully in the lost epic Cypria, known from later summaries. The Iliad mentions it only in passing, in Book 24.)

Our arena is smaller, and nobody goes to war. But the Venus Games has its own rematch: two champions, one first place, and today you get a say.

The Order of Minerva: Emily Sophie Christine

Athena (Minerva): owl, spear and aegis. Emily Sophie Christine (@emilysophiechristine) walked for Sewreffic at “The Opening,” Fri Oct 16, 2026, in a black top and a gold-and-navy dot-print maxi. That’s a busy garment to present, and it still reads cleanly in a still. She took silver, 12 placement points, at Bureau LAFW, and on the Comparison Round card she was even with the champion on camera.

The Order of Venus: Ava Kortman

Aphrodite (Venus): dove, rose, myrtle and shell. Ava Kortman (@avakortman) walked for Krown Kink at “The Opening,” Fri Oct 16, 2026, in a black lace top and red satin wide-leg trousers. She took gold, 16 placement points, and she’s our Nightlife Report Model of the Year 2026.

Round-one results: Ava Kortman gold, Emily Sophie Christine silver, Kyla Dodds bronze. Today’s vote puts first and second place on the line between the top two.

How it’s judged

The rules are the same as before. We score the performance, never the person’s looks. Every judge fills in the same Runway Points card: Walk, Presence, Styling and Camera, 0-10 each. This time, it’s Walk, Presence, Styling and Camera, plus reader votes.

• Walk: pace, line, the turn, control at the end of the runway
• Presence: does the room watch her? Does she own the space?
• Styling: hair, makeup, accessories and fit, and whether the look reads as one whole
• Camera: does the look hold in a still frame from the photo pit?
• Reader votes: one vote per email at blog.nightlifereport.app/vote

The Head Judge sets the order, and the placement points follow the place, not the person: 1st 16, 2nd 12, 3rd 10.
