Friday warmed up the room. Saturday took it, and the wings came out to close it.

Darlings, some nights at fashion week feel like homework. Saturday at The Lot Studios felt like a party that knew exactly where it was going. Day 1 had flashes. Day 2 had flow: three shows (2:30 PM, 5:30 PM and the 8:30 PM Finale), tighter changeovers, and a closing block that made the media pit go quiet for a second, which is the highest compliment a pit can give.
The Finale, in order
My camera’s clock gives the running order. Treat the clock times as approximate (unconfirmed offset); the order itself is solid.
- Cloud & Mist opened the Finale with its children’s line. Kids’ looks are never scored or ranked here, full stop. It was a sweet, family-first opener.
- Doug Chinery (Naked Sewist) came next (about 9:20 PM by my camera), all maker’s-hands construction.
- Justin Zachary (about 9:27 to 9:36 PM) brought ostrich-feather details, which were all movement under the lights.
- Eternal Been (about 9:38 to 9:43 PM) kept the tempo tight.
- Krissy King Swim closed (about 9:45 to 9:54 PM) with the wings. Krissy King has long billed herself as a bikini and angel-wing designer, and on Saturday the wings were the show. Disclosure: Krissy King is also a Bureau co-founder and producer.
Siragusa was on the Finale bill, but its slot in the order is unconfirmed: I don’t have a frame that pins it.
The picks
My top three of the weekend’s walks were:
- Ava Kortman (@avakortman), walking for Krown Kink
- Emily Sophie Christine, walking for Sewreffic
- Kyla Dodds (@kyla.doddsss), walking for Krissy King
A note for the record: per the official schedule, Krown Kink and Sewreffic showed in Friday’s “The Opening”. These picks cover the weekend, not Saturday alone. Kyla’s house is now Krissy King. Our full method is in the rubric post, and it scores the walk and the presentation, never anyone’s looks.
Why it clicked
- Pacing. The Finale moved through five houses on my camera in about 43 minutes.
- A real closer. Ending on wings gives the room a final image to carry out the door.
- A calmer pit. There were fewer elbows and more nods.
