  • Battle of the Gods: The Venus Games Rematch, Vote Today for First Place

Battle of the Gods: The Venus Games Rematch, Vote Today for First Place

Editorial picks. The Venus Games is Nightlife Report’s own editorial format, scored under our Runway Points rules. These are our picks, not official Bureau awards. The Bureau announced no winners.

Battle of the Gods: the 90-second Venus Games rematch. Venus fights for Ava Kortman, Athena for Emily Sophie Christine. The fight footage is AI-generated: the gods, the arena and the duel are original characters and depict no real person. The real runway walks and photos are unaltered (scaled and cropped only). Photos and video: Anthony Perlas / Nightlife Report.

Today, Tue Oct 20, 2026, is the vote. It’s the rematch for first place: Order of Minerva vs Order of Venus. Venus is the champion of Ava Kortman (round-one gold). Athena is the champion of Emily Sophie Christine (round-one silver). Your vote decides who takes first place and who takes second. Voting closes tonight at 11:59 PM PT.

    What’s in the video

    • The myth: one golden apple, two champions.
    • Round one: Ava Kortman, gold. Emily Sophie Christine, silver. Now it’s the rematch for first place.
    • The real walks: Emily Sophie Christine in the Sewreffic finale on Stage 5, and Ava Kortman walking for Krown Kink. This is real footage, shot by Anthony Perlas and left unaltered: scaled and cropped only, with no grade, speed change or effects on it.
    • How Nightlife Report is made: shot from the pit, straight to Drive, then the champions are rendered.
    • The duel: Athena and Venus fight it out in the Colosseum while the gods watch. The fight is AI-generated, and the HuFi shots are labelled as a concept visualization, not a product.

    Remember the Judgment of Paris

In the Greek myth, a golden apple was set before three goddesses, Hera, Athena and Aphrodite, and the Trojan prince Paris had to choose between them. He chose Aphrodite. In the myth, that choice led to the Trojan War. (The story is told most fully in the lost epic Cypria, known from later summaries. The Iliad mentions it only in passing, in Book 24.)

Our arena is smaller, and nobody goes to war. But the Venus Games has its own rematch: two champions, one first place, and today you get a say.

The Order of Minerva: Emily Sophie Christine

Athena (Minerva): owl, spear and aegis. Emily Sophie Christine (@emilysophiechristine) walked for Sewreffic at “The Opening,” Fri Oct 16, 2026, in a black top and a gold-and-navy dot-print maxi. That’s a busy garment to present, and it still reads cleanly in a still. She took silver, 12 placement points, at Bureau LAFW, and on the Comparison Round card she was even with the champion on camera.

The Order of Venus: Ava Kortman

Aphrodite (Venus): dove, rose, myrtle and shell. Ava Kortman (@avakortman) walked for Krown Kink at “The Opening,” Fri Oct 16, 2026, in a black lace top and red satin wide-leg trousers. She took gold, 16 placement points, and she’s our Nightlife Report Model of the Year 2026.

Round-one results: Ava Kortman gold, Emily Sophie Christine silver, Kyla Dodds bronze. Today’s vote puts first and second place on the line between the top two.

    How it’s judged

The rules are the same as before. We score the performance, never the person’s looks. Every judge fills in the same Runway Points card: Walk, Presence, Styling and Camera, 0-10 each. This time, it’s Walk, Presence, Styling and Camera, plus reader votes.

    • Walk: pace, line, the turn, control at the end of the runway
    • Presence: does the room watch her? Does she own the space?
    • Styling: hair, makeup, accessories and fit, and whether the look reads as one whole
    • Camera: does the look hold in a still frame from the photo pit?
    • Reader votes: one vote per email at blog.nightlifereport.app/vote

The Head Judge sets the order, and the placement points follow the place, not the person: 1st 16, 2nd 12, 3rd 10.

Vote today for first and second place

Pick who takes first place: Minerva (Athena): Emily or Venus (Aphrodite): Ava at blog.nightlifereport.app/vote. The other champion takes second. One vote per email. Voting closes Tue Oct 20, 2026, 11:59 PM PT.

The full head-to-heads: The Venus Games: Comparison Round. The rulebook: How The Venus Games Works.

Editorial scoring: The Venus Games and Runway Points are Nightlife Report editorial picks by head judge Anthony Perlas. They aren’t official Bureau awards. The fight footage in the video is AI-generated: the gods, the arena, the duel and the HuFi concept shots are original generated art and depict no real person. The real runway walks and photos are Anthony Perlas / Nightlife Report footage and are unaltered.

  • 4.6 Million on TikTok, and She’s Just Getting Started: Sofie SanFilippo Is Building Her Next Thing

4.6 Million on TikTok, and She’s Just Getting Started: Sofie SanFilippo Is Building Her Next Thing

    EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

The TikTok creator rode with us through Beverly Hills, shot with us on Rodeo Drive, and told us how she went viral, why music is next, and where she wants to go after December.

Interview by Nightlife Report. Recorded on camera in Beverly Hills.

Nightlife Report: Sofie SanFilippo, The Interview (0:53). 🎥 Nightlife Report

Most people with a TikTok following in the millions would explain it with a secret, an algorithm trick or a lucky break. Sofie SanFilippo gave us a single sentence:

“It was really just being consistent.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    That’s it. No hacks.

We caught up with SanFilippo (@sofiesanfilippo, 4.6M followers on TikTok) rolling through Beverly Hills at night with the camera running, plus a night shoot on Rodeo Drive. She talked about growing an audience, making music, and why the work itself might beat the finish line.

    The Takeoff

She remembers the early days of the account the way most people remember a first apartment.

“Especially when I started TikTok, like, I remember, like, it was so exciting to just watch it grow every day and, like, build that community and, like, see it, like, actually happen.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    The Music

Then came the music. And she isn’t new to it.

“I’ve done music for a while.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

So why put it out now?

“So why not share it? Because music connects people.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

She sees the music as the next build, using everything she learned on social:

“So now I’m taking my skill set of all that and kind of using it towards music, because that’s the next thing that I’m really looking to build.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    The Art Part

She also takes a lot of pictures and edits her own work. And she has a theory about why any of it matters:

“…art really brings people together and makes people feel less alone and understood.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    The Process

Ask a creator about goals and you usually get a number. SanFilippo’s answer was about the middle of the journey:

“But, like, doing it and being in the process in the middle of it happening is literally probably better than the outcome.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

    What’s Next

Travel. She told us that after December she expects to be moving between a few different countries and cities, with Egypt, Tokyo and Europe on her list. Her reason:

“But I just feel like there’s a lot of the world that no one has seen.”

    Sofie SanFilippo

She didn’t give us song titles or release dates, and we’re not going to make any up.

  • What You Missed at LA Fashion Week: The Nightlife Report Recap

What You Missed at LA Fashion Week: The Nightlife Report Recap

Dek: A best friend in the line, wings on the runway, a throne in the pit. Here’s everything that happened at The Bureau Fashion Week LA, Oct 16–17, in one scroll.

    The 30-second version

    • The friend: Jacqueline “Nami Mami” Laurito told us who she was there for: “Kyla Dodds.”
    • The wings: Kyla Dodds opened Krissy King Swim at the Finale and took bronze on our board.
    • The throne: Ava Kortman (Krown Kink) took gold; Emily Sophie Christine (Sewreffic) took silver.
    • The fine print: The Venus Games is Nightlife Report’s editorial format. The Bureau named no winners.

Darlings, two nights at The Lot Studios on Formosa Avenue in West Hollywood, two bills, one packed media pit, and a line outside that had its own plot. We shot The Opening (Fri Oct 16, 6:00 PM) and Saturday Night: The Finale (Sat Oct 17, 8:30 PM) for @thebureaufashionweek. If you missed it, here’s the weekend, story by story. Every card links to the full piece.

    1. The friend in line

We found Jacqueline Laurito, better known as Nami Mami (@nami.m0mmy), in the line outside the Bureau. Had they been there the day before? “No, we’re just here for a friend.” Which friend? “Kyla Dodds.” Two answers, zero hesitation. The crowd swallowed the rest of the tape, and we only print words we can actually hear.

When Krissy King Swim closed the Finale, the first look out was red-and-white feather wings, worn by Kyla Dodds (@kyla.doddsss). On our Venus Games board she finished third with 10 placement points: bronze. That’s our editorial pick; the Bureau named no winners.

Emily Sophie Christine (@emilysophiechristine) walked for Sewreffic at The Opening, and our pit camera kept finding her. After a look-by-look recheck, she moved to second and Kyla Dodds to third. We did the correction in public, the way it should be done.

    5. On camera with Krown Kink

Casey Lee Parker, the designer behind Krown Kink (@krownkink), went on tape with Nightlife Report on the venue floor Friday night. The clip runs 44 seconds. Most of the answer was lost to room noise, so we’re holding the words until a clean audio pass confirms them.

Dek: Some people come to fashion week to be seen. Top LA influencer Jacqueline “Nami Mami” Laurito came to cheer. We found her in line and asked the only question that matters.

The line outside the Bureau Fashion Week LA tents is a runway of its own: phones up, coats on, everyone acting like they aren’t checking who’s behind them. Somewhere in it we found Jacqueline Laurito, better known as Nami Mami (@nami.m0mmy).

Had they been there the day before? “No, we’re just here for a friend.”

Which friend? Laurito didn’t have to think about it: “Kyla Dodds.”

Good taste in friends. Dodds opened Krissy King Swim at the Bureau Finale and went on to take bronze in The Venus Games. That’s a Nightlife Report editors’ pick, not a Bureau award; the Bureau named no winners. Read: The Wings That Closed the Finale: Kyla Dodds Takes Bronze.
