Sewreffic at The Bureau Fashion Week LA, October 2026: Looks and Credits

Sewreffic for The Bureau Fashion Week. This page collects what Nightlife Report has on file for Sewreffic at The Bureau Fashion Week in Los Angeles: the show slot, the looks we photographed from the media pit on Fri Oct 16, 2026, and the credits we could confirm. Where we couldn’t confirm something, we say so.

    Sewreffic’s show slot

Sewreffic showed in The Opening, the 6:00 PM show on Friday, Oct 16, 2026, at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, in front of a gold flame visual on the LED wall. Sewreffic is on the Bureau’s published Opening bill. Our frames for the segment run from P1000685 to P1000713.

One caveat: the backdrop for this segment carried no text, so these frames are credited to Sewreffic by schedule order and our earlier notes. We rate that credit medium confidence.

    About Sewreffic

Print was the headline: lime green, orange-and-black and pink-and-violet prints, bell and balloon sleeves, and wide black belts at the waist.

The label is on Instagram at @sewreffic. A label named Sewreffic appears on Austin Fashion Week lineups in 2022 and 2023; we matched those listings by name only. More in our Sewreffic story. Also see Designer spotlight: Sewreffic.

Runway Points Day 1 Scoreboard: Bureau LA Fashion Week | Nightlife Report

Runway PointsBureau LA Fashion Week · Oct. 2026

The Opening is in the books. One champion, one runner-up, one team title, and a Saturday that could flip the whole board.

Editorial scoring · Nightlife Report Runway Points are our correspondent’s picks, not an official Bureau result. The Bureau announced no winners.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Nightlife Report) — Good evening, and welcome to the desk. We are coming to you with the final from Night One of the Bureau’s LA Fashion Week at The Lot Studios, where seven designers took the runway in “The Opening” on Friday, Oct. 16. The headline tonight: Ava Kortman (@avakortman), walking for Krown Kink, takes Nightlife Report’s Model of the Event. In our final placings, Emily, for Sewreffic, is your runner-up, and Kyla Dodds takes third. And the team title, our Best Overall Modeling Team, goes to Deborah Beaumont Designs.

Let’s go down to the floor.

    How Runway Points works

Think college wrestling, called like a pro esports final. Designers are teams. Every look is a bout. The models are the wrestlers. Each look gets scored on walk, fit, styling, crowd reaction and camera, and a full, consistent lineup earns depth points, just like a deep dual-meet roster. Individual placements pay out NCAA-style: 16 for the champion, 12 for second. The full rulebook, every assumption included, is published with this piece. Our correspondent judges against a Ford Models standard, presence, poise, professionalism and the camera, without the body rules.

The Day 1 bout: Ava vs Emily

Ava walks for Krown Kink at the Bureau LA Fashion Week Opening

And here. We. Go. Blue corner: Ava, Krown Kink, the luxury label of designer Casey Lee Parker. Black lace top, red satin wide-leg trouser, the KK crown burning on the LED wall. Red corner: Emily, Sewreffic, black top and a gold-and-navy dot-print maxi under the flame visual. Both looks read cleanly in a still frame.

In our Colosseum breakdown this was a best-of-five with three rounds left open. Tonight the casters close the book. Presence was the round that never really swung, and it decides the match: Ava takes the title. That is a Nightlife Report call, the kind of macro read that wins finals, and it comes with a second belt: Nightlife Report Model of the Year.

Emily takes silver in our final placings, and nobody on this desk is calling that a loss. A podium finish out of a seven-designer Opening is a deep run. Bronze goes to Kyla Dodds, our third-place pick.

    Emily walks for Sewreffic

    Individual bracket (editorial, final placings)

    Place Model Team Points
1st — Champion, Model of the Event, Model of the Year Ava Krown Kink 16
    2nd — Runner-up Emily Sewreffic Pending
3rd Kyla Dodds Krissy King Pending
    4th–8th Not placed — —

    Team race: the dual-meet board

Now to the team race, and this is where the macro game shows up. A single highlight can win a bout. A team title needs every look to hold. Deborah Beaumont Designs, the Idaho label of designer Deborah Beaumont, sent out the deepest, most consistent lineup on the Opening bill in our correspondent’s view. That is a full-roster performance, and it takes the trophy.

Rank Team Placement pts Bonus Status
1 Deborah Beaumont Designs 0 Depth: scorecard pending Team title: Best Overall Modeling Team
T-2 Krown Kink 16 Scorecard pending Individual champion’s team
T-2 Sewreffic Pending +2 design citation Among the best designs; second-place model’s team
    — Saint Fortuna — Scorecard pending Featured, not ranked
    — Susan Kim, Dimez, X-X Co. — — On the bill, not scored

Reading the board: the team title is our correspondent’s pick for lineup depth. Per-look scorecards are still being filed, so bout points are pending and placement points alone do not decide team order. Krown Kink and Sewreffic are tied for second because we have not ranked them against each other.

    Around the mat

    • Sewreffic picks up a design citation. Bold print, bell sleeves, a wide black belt and that flame wall. One of the best designs of the night, on our card.
    • Saint Fortuna is on our watch list. A green “SF” monogram on white open-knit with a matching green wide leg. A pure camera look.
    • Krown Kink rides the champion’s points into Saturday. Watch the Krown Kink interview on the blog.
    • Running order and full model credits for every segment are still being confirmed. If you walked, tell us and we will credit you.

Day 2: the board is open

Which brings us to Saturday. Three more shows are on the Bureau’s schedule at The Lot Studios: 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and the 8:30 p.m. Finale. (Bureau schedule) New teams. New bouts. A Model of the Year already crowned on Friday, and a whole roster of designers who never saw Friday’s board.

Can anyone touch the title Ava took Friday night? Does a Saturday lineup out-depth Deborah Beaumont Designs? Is there a pin waiting in the Finale?

We’ll be in the pit. The Day 2 scoreboard drops after the Finale. Don’t touch that dial.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sewreffic walked “The Opening” at the Bureau’s LA Fashion Week on Friday, Oct. 16, in front of an amber-and-gold flame visual on the LED wall at The Lot Studios. It left with two things from Nightlife Report: a place among the best designs of the night, and the lineup that carried our second-place model, Emily.

Nightlife Report picks are editorial opinion by our correspondent. They are not official results of The Bureau Fashion Week, which announced no winners.

    The looks

Print was the headline. One look paired an orange, olive and black paisley-style print with full bell sleeves, cinched by a wide black waist belt and finished with black ankle-strap heels. Emily walked in a black top over a gold-and-navy dot-print maxi skirt. Against the flame wall, both looks read warm and bold from the pit and in a still frame.

    Our second-place pick

In Nightlife Report’s final placings, second place goes to Emily (@emilysophiechristine), who walked for Sewreffic. In our Runway Points format, that is the second-place finish in the individual bracket, behind Model of the Event Ava Kortman (@avakortman), who walked for Krown Kink, with Kyla Dodds in third. Emily is also the lead image of our Day 1 coverage.

    Who is Sewreffic?

A label named Sewreffic has runway miles before Los Angeles. Sewreffic appears on the Austin Fashion Week lineup for Nov. 11, 2022, at The Domain (MoveToAustin), and again on the Austin Fashion Week Fall 2023 Day 2 lineup (Morgan ma Belle). We are matching those listings to the Bureau’s Sewreffic by name; the brand has not confirmed it to us.

The brand’s Instagram bio keeps it simple: “I love sewing, trying new things and trying to launch my dreams.” The Bureau lists Sewreffic on the Opening bill. (The Bureau Fashion Week schedule) We have not confirmed the designer’s name in a public source, so we are not printing it yet.

Two names, one runway, five rounds. A caster's breakdown of Ava Kortman (@avakortman) and Emily Sophie Christine at the Bureau's LA Fashion Week Day 1, with the scorecard left open for your vote.

Five rounds, one runway, and a verdict we’re leaving to you.

By Anthony Perlas · Nightlife Report · Oct. 17, 2026

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Welcome back to the arena, folks. The map is a soundstage at The Lot Studios, and the patch is the Bureau’s LA Fashion Week, October 2026. Two names have come out of Day 1 on everyone’s lips in our corner of the media pit: Ava and Emily Sophie Christine.

This isn’t a fight between two people. Both walked, both worked, and both made the Opening worth the price of a ticket. The Colosseum is a format, the way a caster frames a best-of-five. We break the night into rounds, check the archive, and say plainly what’s on the tape and what isn’t. Then you call the winner.

    The draft: who picked what

Emily Sophie Christine (@emilysophiechristine) drafted into Sewreffic (@sewreffic) for Friday’s 6 p.m. show, “The Opening.” Our camera has her in a black top and a gold-and-navy dot-print maxi skirt under the runway lights. The Sewreffic name was on the LED wall behind her.

Ava drafted into Krown Kink (@krownkink), the luxury label of designer Casey Lee Parker (@caseyleeparker1), on the same Opening bill. Her look: a black lace bra top, red satin wide-leg trousers and a black waistband, with the KK crown logo on the LED wall behind her. She’s also the player we already crowned: Nightlife Report named Ava model of the night in our Day 1 model-first ranking, and we wrote up why in Ava steals the show.

So the casters’ bracket looks like this:

    • Blue side: Ava. Defending model of the night. Krown Kink, by Casey Lee Parker.
    • Red side: Emily Sophie Christine. Sewreffic. On camera in our archive.
Ava walks for Krown Kink at the Bureau's LA Fashion Week Opening, Friday, in a black lace bra top and red satin wide-leg trousers

I always said it was an X factor.

Eileen Ford to The Times of London, 2012

    Round 1: The entrance

This is the laning phase. A model has the first three seconds at the top of the runway to set the tempo. The lights hit, the music sets the pace, and the room decides whether to look up from its phones.

    From the archive:

    • The Opening started at about 6:30 p.m. by our photographer’s watch. The Bureau hasn’t confirmed the time.
    • The pit was packed and the lights stayed on the walk.
    • The Sewreffic segment ran in front of a moving amber-and-gold flame visual on the LED wall.
    • The Krown Kink segment ran under the KK crown logo over a night-city visual.

Caster’s read: Both sides now have frames, but stills don’t show the first three seconds. This round stays open.

    Round 2: The walk

Now we’re into the micro game: pace, line and the turn. In StarCraft terms, this is APM you can see. Every step is an input, and the clean ones don’t look like effort.

    From the archive:

    • We have Emily on the walk from the front and on the return. That’s four frames in the Sewreffic set (P1000704, P1000706, P1000711, P1000713).
    • We now have Ava on the walk from the front and on the return for Krown Kink, plus a crowd-view frame: three frames.

Caster’s read: Open. Both sides have tape now, but stills don’t show pace or the turn. We won’t score this round off still frames.

    Round 3: Presence

This is the macro game, and the one Eileen Ford couldn’t put into words. “I always said it was an X factor,” the Ford Models co-founder told The Times of London in 2012. Presence is map control: who owns the room without asking for it.

From the archive: This is the one round where we’ve already made a public call. We named Ava model of the night.

Caster’s read: Edge to Ava, on our published call. That’s our editorial view from the pit, not an official Bureau result.

    Round 4: The crowd

Crowd is the hype meter, the roar when the team fight breaks open.

From the archive: We didn’t measure crowd reaction model by model, and the Bureau announced no winners.

Caster’s read: Open. If you were in the seats, you’re the replay. Tell us.

    Sewreffic, Friday
    Sewreffic, Friday. Photo: Nightlife Report

    Round 5: The camera

Ford built an agency on photographs. “The camera lens was ruthless, and so was Eileen,” The Guardian wrote. This round is about who reads in a still frame, the shot a magazine would actually run.

    From the archive:

    • Emily is the lead image in our Day 1 coverage.
    • Ava’s Krown Kink frames are now in: the red satin trousers against the dark runway and the KK crown on the wall read cleanly at full length.
    • The Sewreffic look reads cleanly at full length: black top, gold-and-navy print, flame wall behind.

Caster’s read: Even. We first gave this round to Emily because hers were the only frames we had. Ava’s frames landed, so we re-opened it as promised. Both looks read in a still, and we’re calling it a tie.
