Lillith Magic · The Creative Stand Series
The man who says science is a Saturn cult. Here is what he actually claims.
Read this page as reporting, not endorsement. Every claim below is Eric Dubay’s, paraphrased. Every one is disputed, and we say so.
- Who he is. Eric Dubay is a self-published author and video maker best known for The Flat-Earth Conspiracy (2014) and The Atlantean Conspiracy. He has no credentials in physics or astronomy.
- “The scam of science.” Dubay argues that for roughly 500 years institutions have taught a “cosmic fairy tale,” and that the Earth is a stationary plane at the center of creation. Disputed: Earth’s curvature is measured directly by satellite geodesy, GPS timing, ship-hull horizons and 2,200 years of measurement since Eratosthenes.
- The Saturn thesis. In “Schools, Courts, Churches and the Cult of Saturn,” he claims modern institutions inherited the rites of an ancient Saturn cult, and that the colour black is that cult’s signature.
- The robe and the cap. He points to the black graduation gown and square mortarboard, and the judge’s black robe, as Saturnian costume. Disputed: historians trace academic dress to medieval clerical wool robes worn for warmth, and judicial black to English mourning dress (1694, Queen Mary II).
- The black cube. He reads cubes and squares in architecture, Masonic emblems and sports “rings” as Saturn symbols. Disputed: squares are the cheapest shape to build with. Symbol-hunting finds patterns everywhere because the human brain is built to find them.
- Wordplay as proof. “Universe-ity,” “Ma-Stars degree,” “Illumini.” His method leans on puns. Puns are rhetoric, not evidence. Etymology shows “university” comes from Latin universitas, “the whole guild.”
- Simulation and illusion. He and his fans treat the “official” cosmos as a staged illusion. Note: the simulation hypothesis in academia (Nick Bostrom, 2003) is a probability argument, not a flat-earth claim, and remains untested.
- Where we draw the line. Dubay’s archive extends the Saturn theme to whole faiths. We do not. No religion or people is a cult or a criminal class. Clothing is not a conspiracy.
- What is worth keeping. Strip the claims and one instinct survives: question who owns the stage, who holds the gate, and who speaks “for” you. That instinct powers pages III to V, with real evidence.
- Rule of this report. Doubt is a tool. Data is the verdict. A creator who checks facts can’t be gaslit.

History of Ideas
Black is the colour of time. Red is the colour of a king. The ancients wrote it down.
Gnosticism and the old planetary code, told as history. Two thousand years of people asking whether the world is a prison.
- Gnosticism in one line. A family of 1st to 3rd century religious movements that taught salvation comes through gnosis, inner knowledge, not obedience.
- The demiurge. Many Gnostic texts say the material world was built by a lesser, ignorant craftsman (the demiurge, often called Yaldabaoth), not by the true, hidden God.
- The archons. The demiurge’s “rulers” guard the heavens and keep souls trapped in matter. In several systems there are seven, one per classical planet. Saturn sat at the outermost, coldest gate.
- Matter as illusion. The physical world is a cage or a dream. The divine spark inside each person is the escape key. Sound familiar? It is the oldest version of the “simulation” story.
- The library that proves it. In 1945, farmers at Nag Hammadi, Egypt, found 13 leather codices with 52 texts, including the Apocryphon of John. Before that, scholars knew Gnostics mostly from their critics.
- Saturn = Kronos. The Greek Titan Kronos devoured his children to keep the throne. Romans merged him with Saturn, god of sowing and of the Saturnalia, when masters served slaves for a day.
- Saturn = time. Kronos blended with Chronos, time itself, giving us Father Time with his scythe. Saturn is the slowest naked-eye planet: one orbit takes 29.5 years.
- Saturn = lead, black, death. In alchemy Saturn ruled lead, the heaviest, dullest metal. Its stage was nigredo, “the blackening,” decay before rebirth. Melancholy was “saturnine.”
- Jupiter = life and kingship. Jupiter (Zeus) overthrew his father Kronos and ruled the sky. Astrologers called him the “greater benefic”: growth, law, generosity. His metal was tin.
- The red question, fact-checked. In classical colour lore red belongs to Mars, not Jupiter; Jupiter’s royal colours were purple and blue. Jupiter does wear red in the sky, though: the Great Red Spot, a storm wider than Earth.
- Why this matters for creators. Gnostics refused to let rulers define reality for them. Steal the posture, not the theology: you are the author of your own canon.

Power & Money
Follow the money, not the hats. The receipts are public.
You don’t need a cult to explain concentration of power. You need a spreadsheet. Here it is.
- Interest beat the military. In fiscal 2025 the U.S. paid about 970 billion dollars in net interest, more than the roughly 917 billion it spent on national defense (Treasury Combined Statement).
- It keeps climbing. CBO projects net interest above defense every year from 2025 to 2035. A growing slice of every public dollar services past borrowing, not future building.
- Who sets the price of money. The Federal Reserve’s 12 unelected-by-voters regional bank presidents and 7 governors steer rates for 340 million people. Accountability runs through Congress and audits; ask your representative to use them.
- Three firms, one vote. BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street together are the largest shareholder in roughly 88% of S&P 500 companies (Fichtner, Heemskerk & Garcia-Bernardo, 2017). That is real concentration, documented by academics.
- Homes as an asset class. GAO (2024) found institutional investors own a small share of U.S. single-family rentals nationally but are heavily concentrated in Sun Belt metros such as Atlanta, where they hold about 25% of rentals.
- The fix is not hate, it’s ownership. Own your masters, your domain, your list, your equity. Every intermediary you remove is a toll you stop paying.
- Read the budget yourself. USAspending.gov shows every federal contract and grant. Citizens who read it are harder to fleece.
- Proud of the United States. The first nation founded on a written promise of self-government. The Constitution put the power of the purse in Congress precisely so the people, not a king, would control the public purse.
- Proud of Los Angeles. El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles, founded 1781 by 44 settlers. Today it is the creative capital of the planet: film, music, fashion, aerospace.
- Proud of your people. Pride in your heritage and pride in your neighbors are the same muscle. Use it to build, not to blame.
- The creative stand. Credit every collaborator. Demand credit for yourself. Authorship is property, and property is freedom.

Expansion
One planet is a cradle. The galaxy is the inheritance.
The physics of going big, the math of the energy it takes, and a myth about diamonds that turns out to be half right.
- The Kardashev scale. Soviet astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev (1964) ranked civilisations by energy: Type I uses a planet’s power, Type II a star’s, Type III a galaxy’s.
- Where we stand. Using Carl Sagan’s interpolation, humanity sits near Type 0.73. Type I means about 1016-1017 watts, roughly the sunlight striking Earth.
- The firepower for Type II. The Sun emits 3.8 × 1026 watts. Capturing it is Freeman Dyson’s 1960 Science idea: a swarm of collectors around the star.
- Type III and beyond. The Milky Way outputs roughly 1037 watts. Our home supercluster, Laniakea (Tully et al., Nature 2014), spans about 520 million light-years and 100,000 galaxies.
- Getting there. Breakthrough Starshot proposes laser-driven gram-scale sails at 20% light speed to reach Alpha Centauri in about 20 years. Self-copying probes could cross the galaxy in under a few million years.
- Superintelligence. Nick Bostrom (Superintelligence, 2014) argues machine minds could eventually exceed us in every domain. The opportunity and the alignment risk are the same coin.
- The silicon future. Silicon is 28.2% of Earth’s crust by weight, second only to oxygen at 46%. The raw material of thinking machines is literally the ground under your feet.
- Fact check: “diamonds are more common than trees.” Carbon is only about 0.02% of the crust (200 ppm). Diamond at the surface is rare, a few parts per billion in kimberlite ore.
- But deep down, the myth wins. MIT-led seismic work (Garber et al., 2018) estimates about a quadrillion (1015) tonnes of diamond 145-240 km down in cratonic roots. All life on Earth holds about 550 billion tonnes of carbon (Bar-On et al., PNAS 2018). Earth has about 3 trillion trees (Crowther et al., Nature 2015).
- The verdict. By mass, hidden diamond outweighs the carbon in every tree on Earth by roughly a thousand to one. By anything you can reach, trees win. Scarcity is often logistics, not geology.
- Oxygen is a fuel bill. Biology runs on oxygen; machines run on electricity and cooling. A silicon civilisation trades lungs for power plants and radiators.

The Cold Universe
The universe is freezing. Heat is the only thing that makes us alive.
Life is a heat engine running against the clock. Here is how doctors, engineers and farmers are already bending the cold.
- Heat death. The second law of thermodynamics says entropy rises. Expanding forever, the cosmos cools toward a uniform near-absolute-zero: no gradients, no work, no life.
- Life is a heat engine. Erwin Schrödinger (What Is Life?, 1944) said organisms survive by “feeding on negative entropy.” You run at about 100 watts, the same as a bright bulb.
- Dyson’s way out. Freeman Dyson (“Time without end,” Reviews of Modern Physics, 1979) showed thinking beings could, in principle, keep going forever by running slower and colder and hibernating between thoughts.
- Cold saves lives today. The 2002 NEJM hypothermia trial: cooling cardiac-arrest survivors to 32-34°C raised good neurological recovery from 39% to 55%.
- Suspended animation, real version. Dr. Samuel Tisherman (University of Maryland) led the EPR-CAT trial, flushing trauma patients with ice-cold saline to buy time for surgery. Animal studies showed up to 2 hours of circulatory arrest with normal recovery. The trial was stopped in 2025 for slow enrollment.
- Cryonics: the frontier bet. Organisations such as Alcor store bodies at -196°C. No one has been revived; most cryobiologists say it is unproven. In 2016 a rabbit brain was vitrified with near-perfect structure (Brain Preservation Prize).
- Machines for ice worlds. NASA JPL’s PRIME cryobot would melt through Europa’s ice shell with about 10 kW of nuclear heat, then release SWIM micro-robots into the ocean below.
- The refrigerator is a heat pump. It doesn’t make cold; it moves heat. Modern heat pumps deliver 3 to 4 units of heat for every unit of electricity (U.S. DOE).
- Cows as radiators. Swiss trials on nine dairy farms recovered milk-cooling heat to preheat wash water to 50-55°C, cutting electricity for water heating by about 47% (Agroscope).
- Iceland runs on the Earth’s heat. About 90% of Icelandic homes are heated geothermally. Greenhouses use about 216 GWh a year to grow tomatoes and flowers under the Arctic dark.
- Bodies heat buildings. Stockholm Central Station captures heat from about 250,000 daily travellers and pipes it to the Kungsbrohuset tower, cutting its heating energy by 5-10%.
- The stand. In a cooling universe, waste heat is a gift. In a crowded culture, wasted talent is the same. Capture it. Credit it. Keep the fire.
