What was the moment you stopped playing small, and what did you do the very next day?
When i realized i was the only one holding myself back and next day i start believing myself and moving forward to my goals.
What game is the rest of your industry playing that you refuse to play?
I refuse to play the game of comparison and chasing trends just to fit in. In an industry where everyone is trying to be seen, i believe in being remembered.
What's the boldest bet you've made on this brand (price, production, a hire, a show), and how did you justify it when others played it safe?
The boldest decision was choosing to believe in vision before anyone else could fully see it, building a brand requires courage especially when you creating something different.
RelatedOlivier “Hero” Dressen directed for Jaguar and Coke Studio. His short film has 18 awards.
If you restarted tomorrow, what would you do bigger and sooner?
If I would start over tomorrow, I would dream bigger from day one and trust myself much sooner, I would take more risks, invest in my vision earlier and stop waiting for everything to be perfect .
What are you putting into the world in the next 90 days that proves you're moving?
My focus is on turning my creative vision in to something tangible, for me success isn’t just about being seen, it’s about creating something that leaves a lasting impression, i want my work speak louder than my words.
Picture ten times the audience you have today. What has to change in how you and your team work to get there?
To reach ten times the audience I believe we need to think bigger while staying true to what makes our brand unique, it’s about building a stronger creative team and connecting with people on a global level.
What almost killed a launch, show or shoot, and who on your team refused to let it die?
Things don’t always go according to plan, especially in the creative industry ,unexpected challenges can happen right before an important moment but what truly matters is how you respond, I believe in staying calm and finding the best solution.
If you got one cover frame, which image, piece or look would it be, why does it carry the whole idea, and who made it with you?
I would choose a look that represents the perfect balance between elegance, strength and individuality.
What's the one detail in your work (a stitch, a light, a song, a scent, a gesture) that only your team notices but that changes everything?
For me it’s always the smallest detail that makes the biggest difference.
The way the hair make up and even the dress looks or how the light touches a design of everything.
The things people may not consciously notice but they can feel.
When you're not in the room, what one sentence do you want people saying about your brand?
It’s more than a brand,it’s a statement of confidence and elegance that makes every woman feel powerful and beautiful.
In her own words: What do you hope women feel when they experience your brand?
I want every woman to feel confident and powerful.
I believe true beauty begins with self confidence and fashion is one of the most beautiful way to express it.
