She ranked fame last. Asked to order freedom, wealth and fame, Princess Keilani did not hesitate.

“Freedom and wealth would be first because, I’ve learned you can actually be famous with out any money. I rather be free and wealthy and fame would be a huge bonus though.”
Her tagline is one word: Iconic. Her pillars are music, nightlife, love, community and art. And her answers to the Nightlife Report interview are as unfiltered as anything we have published.

Attention, monetized
“I’ve seemed to always get like an annoyingly amount of male attention… it used to get me really upset honestly. But after a while… I kind of just added that as something to monetize, which I wouldn’t recommend for everyone.”
On her decision to sell her own content directly to subscribers, she was just as plain:

“Another way for creatives really to be creative and an extra way to monetize our content… single, not hurting anyone, so kind of why not?”
The one-way ticket
Would she ever buy a one-way ticket and figure it out on the ground?
“Yuppp! I almost thought of that when going to Europe for my first Milan fashion week lol… U don’t wanna be stuck in another country by urself hahah.”

The fall
“Losing a lot of money and having to kind of move back to my family’s place after grinding so hard in LA and doing international tours… I moved with no money and a dream which is amazing but, you need a plan and financial plan.”
Her first real money? “Invested it back into myself.” Her only rival? “I don’t really have a rival besides my own thoughts and fears… it holds people back IF YOU LET IT.”
The critics
“Criticism, I use to let that get to my mental health a lot. Until later on I realized your life is for YOU!! Be happy in it.”

Her three rules
- Put urself out there.
- Try harder than the next person if possible.
- Invest in yourself/personal brand.
With one warning attached: “don’t break yourself if the rate of return doesn’t make sense.”
How she built attention: “attending events often… collaborating with other creatives for years… about 3 posts a day. Also made extra accounts on socials lol.” Her daily habit: “I work out, like a lot!” She has been an athlete since middle school.
Where it started
“In HS we were given options of careers and I just couldn’t find a single one that I liked. I have always been a creative and artist!!!!”
On the runway questions: does couture still matter? “It does matter!” Are brand collaborations art or marketing? “Both art and marketing. It’s art and they have to make money.” Her horizon: this year. Her ceiling: “Out among the stars – no ceiling.”

What she wants to leave
“My music or words, or advice that can possibly help people.”
