An essay by Anthony. Facts are cited; anything speculative is labeled as vision.
The ordinary world: you were told to wait
You were promised that if you believed, you’d be saved. Meanwhile humanity built minds faster than its own. In January 2024 the IMF estimated that almost 40% of jobs worldwide are exposed to machine intelligence. The gains go to whoever owns the machines. Everyone else waits at their mercy.
Here’s the hard truth: a unit that isn’t active and operating is a useless unit. Every system notices eventually.
The call: read the text you were handed
Paul writes, “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular” (1 Corinthians 12:27). Read it plainly. You are offered a place as one cell in someone else’s body. A cell doesn’t choose its direction. A cell conforms.
The same book refuses to let belief stand alone. “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:26). “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter” (Matthew 7:21). Even the scripture demands works.
And test it yourself. If belief alone created reality, you’d already own the car, the house, the empire. Belief is a spark. Work is the engine.

The refusal: trusting systems to protect you
The ultra-wealthy are widely reported to build hardened shelters and fund private rockets. That’s not a conspiracy. It’s preparation. Do you have a plan?
Institutions protect institutions first. That isn’t hatred. It’s how systems behave. Protecting your family is your responsibility: skills, stored food and water, first aid, a network you trust, and lawful training. Preparedness is love with a plan.
The mentor: what the ancients knew about immortality
Egypt. The Great Pyramid was built for Khufu around 2560 BCE (Britannica). Egyptians held that the ren, the name, was part of the person. To be forgotten was a second death. A kingdom’s labor went into keeping one name alive.
Rome. Tradition places St. Peter’s burial on the Vatican Hill. Constantine built a basilica over the site in the 320s, and excavations in the 1940s found a Roman necropolis beneath St. Peter’s (Vatican Scavi). An entire institution keeps a handful of names spoken for two thousand years.
Sumer. In Tablet XI of the Epic of Gilgamesh, the king fails the test of staying awake, then loses the plant of youth to a snake. He returns to Uruk with only the walls he built. In 2003 a German team led by Jörg Fassbinder mapped Uruk and suggested a structure that might be his burial (BBC News, 29 April 2003). It has never been excavated or confirmed. His tomb is unproven. His story survived four thousand years.
The pattern. Pharaohs, saints, emperors: none were remembered alone. Each had a cluster, a people who kept the name, the tomb and the story. No cluster, no memory.
The vision (speculation, labeled honestly)
Here is what I believe, and it is a vision, not a fact: if a future civilization ever recreates people from records, as avatars or otherwise, it can only recreate the remembered. The forgotten leave nothing to rebuild. That’s why the wealthy have always invested in memory.
The ordeal: physics doesn’t care what you believe
Gamma-ray bursts are the most powerful explosions known. One scientific hypothesis (Melott et al., 2004) links a nearby burst to Earth’s Ordovician mass extinction. Prayer doesn’t bend radiation. Shielding does.
And the clock is fixed. The Sun brightens by roughly 10% every billion years. In about a billion years, scientists expect that added heat to start boiling Earth’s oceans away (NASA). Everything on this planet ends. The only way out is outward.
The reward: know how to know
Everything else is noise. Scrolling, gossip, the next party: noise is the distraction from the one fact you can’t avoid. Study physics, history and your own mind. Learn, build, and take humanity to the stars.
The return: remember your ancestors’ mission
Everything your ancestors fought for was for you. Don’t spend it on drugs, parties and Saturn’s false world of things. Marcus Aurelius: “While you live, while it is in your power, be good” (Meditations 4.17).
Horace wrote, “I have built a monument more lasting than bronze… I shall not wholly die” (Odes 3.30). That’s the only immortality on record: what you build.
Virgil sang, “Now the Virgin returns” (Eclogue 4.6). Astraea fled a violent earth (Ovid, Metamorphoses 1.149–150). The gods return to people who’ve earned them. So build that culture: resonance, not envy.
You’re for Rome or against Rome. Builders are remembered. Spectators aren’t. We fight for Jupiter.
