Las Vegas: XS reopens Nov. 5
XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas, closed for a full renovation, reopens Thursday, Nov. 5 with a four-night run: RÜFÜS DU SOL on Nov. 5, The Chainsmokers on Nov. 6, Calvin Harris on Nov. 7 and Diplo b2b HUGEL on Nov. 8 (Wynn Las Vegas newsroom).
Austin: Kingdom goes phone-free
Kingdom, the Austin nightclub, began enforcing a phone-free policy on Oct. 23. Staff cover phone cameras at the door. Photos and video are off-limits on the dance floor, while texting and mobile payment are still allowed (Our Austin; Austin American-Statesman).
Miami Beach: Art Basel, Dec. 4–6
Art Basel Miami Beach opens to the public Friday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, after VIP days on Dec. 2 and 3 (Art Basel). The fair is the anchor of Miami Art Week, when the city’s clubs book their biggest programming of the year.
