From a small town in Caldas to the runways of Los Angeles Fashion Week, a Colombian model has made range the signature. Here is the story so far, and why the next chapter is worth watching.

Every great agency profile begins with the same observation: some people are simply better in front of a camera than anyone has a right to expect. The better ones have something more durable than a look. They have range, and the nerve to use it.
Yeran Castaño has both. The Colombian model, based in Bogotá, walked for at least five designers at Los Angeles fashion weeks this fall, according to Yeran’s own Instagram posts. In a single season the work moved from sculpted black corsetry to golden chiffon to pearl-studded white, and every time the room saw a different face of the same unmistakable presence.
Here is how the bio, supplied for this story, describes the career:

“…a constant quest to break molds, challenge traditional beauty standards, and demonstrate that modeling is not just about appearance, but about identity, attitude, expression, and the capacity for transformation.” — from Yeran’s bio
That is the through-line. What follows is the evidence.
A season to remember
According to Yeran’s Instagram posts, this fall’s schedule read like a designer’s wish list.
Coral Castillo. Yeran’s post calls it a debut at Los Angeles Fashion Week 2026 for the designer’s new collection. Coral Castillo is a Los Angeles designer known for handmade, made-to-order womenswear built on sculptural macramé and beading, and a Project Runway Season 19 finalist, according to a Voyage LA profile. The “Celestial & Infernal” collection, presented on Oct. 8 at The Majestic Downtown, is framed by the designer as a study of duality, and the designer’s finale post names Yeran among the models.
Usama Ishtay. Another Los Angeles Fashion Week 2026 runway, where Yeran’s caption speaks of bringing essence, strength and versatility to every step.
Copacabana Beachwear. A swimwear show during the same Los Angeles Fashion Week, with a designer credit to Roxanna Faithful on the post.
Krissy King and Kenneth Barlis. Both shows were part of The Bureau Fashion Week in Los Angeles, which ran Oct. 16 to 18 at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood. Long Beach Current reported that Barlis closed the Bureau’s opening night with a collection of glittering ballgowns.
Five designers. Five completely different ideas of what a runway look can be. That is a great deal of variety to carry in one season, and it reads as natural.

The look, in three words
Agencies like to say that a model is a blank canvas. The pictures supplied for this story suggest something better: a model who brings the canvas along.
On the dark runway of the Coral Castillo presentation, the story is texture. A glossy, crocodile-patterned corset gown gives way to a sheer, floating skirt, and the contrast does the talking. Under the lights, a beaded bag finishes the line.
In the golden gown, the story is movement. Chiffon and beadwork with cape sleeves that open as the walk does.
Under a screen of oversized pearly blue bubbles, the story is polish. A cropped white jacket and mini skirt studded with pearls, crisp white knee-high boots, and a wet-look floor that throws every shape back in reflection.

From Manzanares to the big runways
A strong profile always asks where it started. According to a 2025 profile in Colombia’s Revista Código Click, the story begins in Manzanares, in the department of Caldas. The family later moved to Pereira, where a modeling academy gave the work its first structure. Medellín offered a more open scene. A Bogotá agency followed, then Colombiamoda and Bogotá Fashion Week, and finally Los Angeles Fashion Week, described in that profile as a first international runway in 2025. (We are paraphrasing; we have not spoken with Yeran for this piece.)
An earlier regional profile, in the Manizales newspaper La Patria in 2021, shows the artistic side of the practice. It described Yeran, then 20, studying professional modeling at Big Model Academia in Manizales while painting faces and bodies for photographic projects. A model who also understands makeup, light and surface is a model who understands the image from the inside, and it shows.
Read in order, the path has a clear rhythm: a small town, a regional academy, a national stage, an international one, and now a return to Los Angeles with more designers, more looks and a bigger audience. That is how careers are built.

The art of transformation
The bio describes Yeran as bringing a “chameleon-like essence” to the work. In agency language, that is versatility, and it is the quality casting directors prize most. A model who can disappear into a designer’s idea and still be unmistakably Yeran is rare. A model who makes it look effortless is rarer.
The collage published by MALVIE shows the range in four frames: gray tulle ruffles with gold floral embroidery, a blue-and-white floral ball gown, a bomber jacket with white boots, a green sequined mini dress with sheer sleeves. Four moods. One performer.

Setting up the next chapter
Careers like this do not slow down at the end of a season. The bio says Yeran seeks “to continue bringing” that chameleon-like essence “to new national and international stages” and to “use fashion as a platform to inspire those who are still afraid to show themselves as they truly are.”
That is a generous ambition, and it points in a clear direction. Yeran already has the ingredients agencies and designers look for: a distinctive presence, a fall season across five different runways, a following of about 50,000 on Instagram at last count by a third-party tracker (Oct. 31, 2026), and a record of collaboration with photographers, stylists and designers who put their own names next to the work.
You can follow along at @yeran.castano_ on Instagram and Threads. Look for the credits as you scroll: nearly every post names the designer, the makeup artist, the hair stylist, the photographer and the producer. For a working model, that credit line is a map of the people who believe in the work.

A home for the original
Nightlife Report is a home for the original, the brilliant, the ones who never fit the mold. Yeran’s story is exactly the kind we love to tell: a career built through talent, discipline and a willingness to be seen in every form the work demands.
If you are a model, designer, photographer, makeup artist, stylist, artist or creator with a story of your own, we would like to meet you. Congratulations to Yeran on a remarkable season, and to everyone behind the lens, the loom and the makeup brush.
