Aruba Fashion Week 2026 will mark its 10th anniversary November 19–22, 2026, with Tierra del Sol by Iberostar serving as the setting for its highly anticipated runway shows and JOIA Aruba by Iberostar welcoming visiting designers, fashion professionals and guests as the event’s Official Accommodation Host.

Under this year’s theme, Winds of Fashion, Aruba Fashion Week celebrates the island’s natural beauty and creative spirit … Inspired by one of Aruba’s most distinctive natural elements, the wind will take center stage, bringing movement and life to the collections.

Participating acclaimed local designers include Elisa Lejuez and Maison Ryon.

The facts

  • Nov. 19 to 22, 2026; runway shows Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21
  • Tierra del Sol by Iberostar, Aruba’s northwest coast
  • Theme: Winds of Fashion
  • Local designers include Elisa Lejuez and Maison Ryon

Our Take

Here is a thought that should sting New York and Los Angeles a little: a Caribbean island of roughly a hundred thousand people has kept a fashion week alive for ten years.

Aruba Fashion Week’s theme, Winds of Fashion, is smart in a way most themes are not. It is not a mood board. It is a design constraint. Clothes that have to move in a trade wind on an open coast are clothes that have to work. That is a better brief than half of what walks in Paris.

Yes, the release reads like a hotel brochure, and resort sponsorship is the engine here. That is fine. Every fashion week runs on someone’s money. The question is whether local designers like Elisa Lejuez and Maison Ryon get the spotlight, or become the backdrop for a travel promotion. Ten years in, the island deserves the benefit of the doubt.

From where we sit, the runway’s future is not only in four capitals. It is everywhere people have a coastline, a culture and the nerve to put both on a catwalk. When our descendants, and their new companions, sort through the record of Earth’s style, the islands will be on the map.
