If your idea of a perfect weekend involves a tennis court, a spa, and a sea view, Southern California has a lot to offer. Below are courts, day-pass escapes, and short getaways. Ratings are rounded public reviews read on Nov 4, 2026: opinions, not endorsements, and they change. Verify hours and prices before you go.

Part 1: Where to play tennis

Court Public reviews Notes

Beverly Hills reservations. The city’s tennis page says courts are reserved only through the Playbypoint app. Residents can reserve seven days ahead and non-residents four days ahead. There is an annual fee ($15 for residents, $30 for non-residents), and players need a Playbypoint account and check-in. The rules say organized group activity such as clinics and meet-up groups is prohibited without city approval. Roxbury Park lists hours of Monday through Thursday 7 to 10 and Friday through Sunday 7 to 6; La Cienega is listed daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. Confirm all details on the city site, since rules change.

Starter plan: pick one court, reserve a hitting session with a friend, and book a lesson with a certified instructor if you are new.

Part 2: A spa day without the hotel stay

ResortPass sells day access to hotel pools and spas. On Nov 4, 2026 it listed, among others: – SLS Beverly Hills: day pass at $39, rated 9.4 (319 ratings) on ResortPass. – Fairmont Century Plaza: $45 pool, $168 spa pass; spa open Monday to Friday 10 to 8 and weekends 9 to 8. – The Langham Huntington, Pasadena: from $73, with a spa pass listed at $112. – ONE Spa at Shutters on the Beach: $220.

ResortPass lists flexible cancellation up to 24 hours before check-in. Check each pass for what is included.
