Two of fashion’s biggest capitals just moved at once. In Paris, Atelier Versace confirmed its first dedicated runway show at Paris Couture Week since July 2016. In London, the British Fashion Council named Yohji Yamamoto its Outstanding Achievement honoree.

What is Versace showing, and when?

Creative director Pieter Mulier will present the Italian house’s first couture collection under his watch in January 2027. For close to a decade, Atelier Versace has lived mostly on red-carpet commissions. Now it’s back on the schedule, which tells you the house wants to be judged on craft again, not just celebrity fittings.

Why does the Yohji award matter?

Yamamoto receives the honor at The Fashion Awards on November 30 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The award recognizes decades of influence on both menswear and womenswear. It’s a Tokyo-born vision being celebrated in London, two of the five fashion capitals in a single headline.

What should you watch next?

  • November 30, London: The Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall. Expect the after-parties to set the dress code for December.
  • January 2027, Paris: Mulier’s Versace couture debut. This is the ticket of the season.
