Model of the Year: Ava Kortman Takes Bureau LAFW

Final results are in. The Krown Kink walker keeps the throne after both nights of the Bureau’s LA Fashion Week. Emily Sophie Christine takes runner-up, Kyla Dodds lands third, and Deborah Beaumont Designs keeps the team title.

Stop the presses on Formosa Avenue, and this time keep them stopped. Two nights, five shows, one throne. Ava Kortman (@avakortman) walked for Krown Kink, the label from designer Casey Lee Parker, and from the centre of a packed media pit she was the one we couldn’t look away from. Nothing on Saturday’s slate took that from her. On the Ford lens (presence, professionalism, poise, camera), that’s the whole test. Nightlife Report pick: Model of the Event, and our Model of the Year 2026. Final. Off our runway, Miami Living Magazine credited her as a model for Star Mother Swimwear (source). Her agency: unconfirmed.

The third spot came in late and loud. Kyla Dodds (@kyla.doddsss) takes third. Her public book includes a New York Fashion Week runway in 2023 (Tabloid Nation). Her designer credit for tonight is Krissy King.

Emily Sophie Christine moves up to second. She walked for Sewreffic on Friday, and our pit camera kept finding her: four of our Day 1 selects are hers. Her public book includes a walk for Runway 7 Fashion (Barbizon Insider, Feb 2026).

The team title stays with Deborah Beaumont Designs, our Best Overall Modeling Team for lineup depth from first look to last. Krown Kink, Sewreffic and Krissy King sit tied right behind (Sewreffic also takes our design citation). Saint Fortuna is still the house to watch.
