Supermodel Karen Mulder went as Karl Lagerfeld to Heidi Klum’s 25th Halloween party in New York, and the clothes were really his. “These are his actual clothes, and these are his actual sunglasses as well,” Mulder told E! News at the party on October 31 at Cathédrale in the Moxy East Village (Fashion Times).
Where did the Lagerfeld outfit come from?
According to Vogue Germany, it’s the look Lagerfeld himself wore at Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2014 haute couture show. It came through her manager, Justin Veijgers, who owns 563 complete original Lagerfeld outfits and wants to show them in a museum one day. Vogue Germany also reports this was Mulder’s first Halloween ever.
How do Karen Mulder and Heidi Klum know each other?
The two met about 30 years ago on a Victoria’s Secret catalog shoot, per Vogue Germany. Mulder, one of the defining faces of the ’90s runway, returned to the cover of German Vogue this September for the first time in 20 years.
