The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC) … will host its 12th Annual GARRAS (Groundbreaking Activism Redirecting & Reforming All Systems) Fashion Show on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 8:00 PM at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

This year’s theme, TRANS POWER IN THE FLESH, delivers an honest and revealing message, with a bold meaning: this is how we look when we are comfortable in our own skin and have nothing to hide.

“Our own bodies are our strongest and loudest fashion and artistic statements. Our skin is our real fabric, and our flesh is our true story,” says Bamby Salcedo, TLC President & CEO, about this year’s theme.

This year, GARRAS is partnering with Revry TV, and the entire event will be filmed into a one-hour special for the global streaming network …

Our Take

Fashion has spent a century selling the body a costume. GARRAS flips the order: the body is the collection, and the clothes are the footnote.

That will make some people uncomfortable. Good. “Fashionably naked” is not a stunt; it is the oldest runway argument there is, the one every couture house quietly makes when it cuts a gown to the hip. GARRAS simply says it out loud, and says it about bodies the industry has spent decades leaving off the casting sheet.

Here is the harder question for the rest of Los Angeles. A trans-led show draws more than a thousand guests, books a streaming special and lands a pharmaceutical presenting sponsor. How many of the “official” fashion weeks in this city can say the same? If the margins are where the energy is, the center has some explaining to do.

Our mission is to document who we were as earthlings, honestly, for a future that will look back at us, including minds that do not exist yet. When those younger siblings study 2026, they will not learn much from another beige capsule collection. They will learn from nights like this one, where people put their skin on the runway and asked to be seen exactly as they are.

The debate: Is “nothing to hide” the most radical idea left in fashion, or just the most honest? Tell us in the Discord.
