Ask for the money, kindly and clearly. A step-by-step plan for one conversation.
The idea
Within fifteen minutes, move from rapport to need to offer to ask. This is the core of Anthony’s sales coaching.
Minutes 0-3: rapport
Learn their name and use it. Find one real thing in common. Be interested, not interesting.
Why rapport
Robert Cialdini’s research on influence found people say yes more to those they like. Liking is one of his six principles.
Minutes 3-8: need
Ask questions. What are they trying to do? What is in the way? What happens if nothing changes?
Ask before you pitch
Neil Rackham’s SPIN Selling, based on a study of about 35,000 sales calls, found that in large sales, questions about the buyer’s problems beat pitching.

Listen for the gap
The gap between where they are and where they want to be is your offer.
Minutes 8-12: offer
Describe what you do in their words, tied to their need. One clear option is better than five.
Proof
Show one result you got for someone similar. Cialdini calls this social proof.
Minutes 12-15: ask
Ask, kindly and clearly. “What budget works for you?” is the gentle way to say “pay me.”
Then stop talking
After the ask, wait. Silence lets them answer. Filling it lowers your price.
If they say yes
Confirm the date, the price and the next step in writing the same day.
If they say no
Ask what would make it a yes, or when to follow up. A no today is often a not yet.
Why fifteen minutes
A short window respects their time and yours. It also forces you to ask instead of hoping.
Practice
Run it with a friend ten times. The words get easier and the ask stops feeling rude.
The takeaway
Rapport, need, offer, ask. Fifteen minutes. Then let them answer.
First principles
Liking, proof and a clear ask move people. Ask before you pitch. Then stop talking.
