How to Get on the Guest List at h.wood Group Venues
The h.wood guest list is the most talked-about door in LA nightlife. The h.wood Group runs some of the city’s hardest rooms to get into, including Poppy, Keys, Bootsy Bellows, Delilah, The Nice Guy and Harriet’s. This Nightlife Report guide explains how access actually works, which routes are official, and how to show up so the door says yes.
Which venues are part of The h.wood Group?
In Los Angeles, the group’s own site and its Rolodex program list Bootsy Bellows, Delilah, Harriet’s (West Hollywood), Poppy, Keys, The Nice Guy and The Peppermint Club, among others. Outside LA it runs outposts including Delilah Las Vegas, Delilah Miami, Delilah Dallas and Harriet’s Nashville. Lineups change, so check hwoodgroup.com/venues for the current list.
How do you get on the h.wood guest list?
There are three legitimate routes:
- Book a reservation or table. The restaurants (Delilah, The Nice Guy) take reservations, and the clubs accept table and bottle requests through the group’s own reservation forms. A booking is the most reliable way in.
- Join the h.wood Rolodex. The group’s application-based membership, open to people 21 and over, lists guest list access to Poppy, Keys and Bootsy Bellows, skip-the-line privileges for up to three guests at Poppy and Keys, priority reservations and a concierge you message directly. You apply; acceptance isn’t automatic.
- Be someone’s guest. A host, promoter or regular who is already on the list can add you. Make sure the person is actually connected to the venue.
Is there a dress code?
h.wood rooms are known for an upscale, put-together look. Venues don’t always publish exact rules, so the safe default is elevated: tailored fits, clean shoes, no athletic wear. When in doubt, ask whoever is putting you on the list. As Jason Schulz put it in our Hot Seat interview, the impact comes from owning your style.
Door etiquette that actually helps
- Arrive at the time you were told, with your whole group together.
- Keep groups small and balanced. Large groups are the hardest to get in.
- Have your name and booking ready exactly as it was submitted.
- Be polite and patient. The door remembers.
- Never pay a stranger for “list spots.” Use the venue’s own booking channels or a host you know.
